Make a difference. Build community. Refresh spaces that support affordable homeownership.
Corporate teams, community groups, and youth groups are invited to join us for a hands-on volunteer experience at the Guelph or Fergus ReStore. Each experience accommodates up to 10 participants and supports Habitat for Humanity’s mission to help more families achieve safe, affordable homeownership. ReStore ReFresh days are $4,000/day.
All ReFresh experiences include:
- All PPE and equipment provided (including footwear)
- Snacks + a delicious hot lunch
- A Habitat “Lunch & Learn”
- Group photos
- A Habitat for Humanity t-shirt to take home
- Your group’s name added to our Wall of Habitat Heroes for all ReStore shoppers to see
- The chance to work alongside our diverse, knowledgeable staff and volunteers
- A welcoming, team-building environment where your group truly helps create good in our community
If your group has a unique skill set, we can also customize your experience to make the most of your strengths.
Tasks available in 2026

RePaint Large Spaces
February – March – April
Both of our ReStore locations are ready for a fresh coat of paint, and with so much wall space, we need all hands on deck!
Your team will help brighten and transform the retail environment for shoppers, donors, staff, and volunteers.
This experience includes all standard ReFresh benefits plus:
- Guided painting activities
- All materials supplied
- Opportunities to work in teams to complete large-scale visual upgrades

ReDo Staff Spaces
March – June
Help us create functional, uplifting staff areas that support the well-being and productivity of our volunteers and employees.
Your team may assist with:
- Painting and wall coverings
- Flooring projects
- Light carpentry (shelves, cabinets, storage solutions)
- Improving overall staff spaces behind the scenes
This project helps us create welcoming, efficient spaces for the people who keep our ReStores running every day.

ReOrg Challenge
March – September
Calling all organization experts!
Our ReStores need your help bringing structure, clarity, and flow to key areas such as:
- Warehouse storage
- Retail floor space
- PPE storage rooms
- Back-of-house organizing and sorting
Your group will apply real organizing skills to make our stores safer, more efficient, and more customer-friendly.
Customize Your Team Experience
If your group has specialized skills like carpentry, design, logistics, customer service, or something unique, we would love to create a custom volunteer experience that plays to your strengths and maximizes your impact.
