At Habitat for Humanity Guelph Wellington, we are proud to have a team of staff, volunteers and a Board of Directors who are passionate about our mission, and who actively promote our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Board Members 2025-2026

Jim Long, Chair

Jim has spent 35 years in leadership roles with two publicly traded companies, Maple Leaf Foods Inc. and Darling Ingredients Inc. His senior leadership positions have included Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Vice President Canada, Vice President of Manufacturing, and Vice President and General Manager. His experience spans several industries including food, agriculture, feed ingredients and biofuels, with functional expertise in finance, continuous improvement, operations, general management, and executive leadership.

Joshua Dryden, Treasurer

Joshua grew up working in his family’s construction and excavation business. Joshua received his Masters of Accountancy degree in 2017 from Brock University and earned his designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant, and Chartered Accountant in 2019.  Joshua started his accounting career at a national firm working in their real estate group before joining Baker Tilly in late 2019 where he became a tax manager. 

David Pell, Director

David has extensive experience with organizational change and leadership. He operated his own business and worked for government, universities and the voluntary sector David was a partner in Development Initiatives Inc., an international consulting firm. He was the founder and president of the Community Business Resource Centre, George Brown College Foundation, the CEO of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation and Street Kids International. David is the past President (Board) of the Canadian Mental Health Association and Canadian Feed the Children.

Kaitlyn Armstrong, Director

Kaitlyn is a family law lawyer who appreciates living and working in her hometown, Guelph. Kaitlyn holds a Juris Doctor, a Master of Arts in Political Science, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. She is an active community member and enjoys serving on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Guelph Wellington.

Marty Williams, Director

Marty Williams was the Executive Director of the Downtown Guelph Business Association for 12 years, retiring in 2023. He has deep family roots in Guelph: his father and grandparents arrived in the city in 1921; he has lived here since 1977 and is a proud graduate of the University of Guelph where he was a two-term President of the Central Student Association and editor of two campus newspapers; his father and son both graduated from GCVI. Marty has been a volunteer with the Hillside Festival for more than 30 years.

Kevin Lake, Director

Kevin Lake has held leadership positions at the Vice President and Senior Director level in the Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail Grocery industry in Marketing, Innovation, Sales, Category Management & Insights and Analytics with major firms including Kraft Foods, PepsiCo, Maple Leaf, MARS, Irving Consumer Products, ARYZTA (Aspire Bakeries) and most recently Sobeys.  He has extensive experience leading multi-functional teams in both Canada and the United States. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from McMaster University majoring in Marketing and Finance and has a passion for Carpentry and Home Renovation. He resides in Limehouse, ON with his wife Laurel and they are the proud parents of four children.

Dale Clarke, Director

Dale Clarke is a retired engineering and construction industry executive with expertise in the mining and infrastructure sectors.  Dale is a professional mining engineer, having graduated from Queen’s University in 1988.  He worked in mine operations for several years before joining AtkinsRealis in 1996.  During his 26 years with the company, Dale progressed through roles in the Mining Sector from mine engineering, consulting, project and construction management of international mine development projects through to leadership of the global mining and metals business for the company.  Switching to the Infrastructure sector in 2015, Dale held executive positions in operations and maintenance and engineering services. Dale’s last role with the company, before retiring in late 2022, was CEO of the Canadian Engineering Services business.  Dale lives near Fergus, Ontario, Canada.
