On Saturday, March 28 from 9 am to 5 pm, both the Guelph and Fergus ReStores will host a full day of celebration open to everyone.
Visitors can enjoy free refreshments and celebratory cake while exploring interactive information booths that highlight Habitat’s work in housing partnerships, kitchen salvages and renovations, environmental impact through the ReStore, and opportunities to get involved as a volunteer, donor, or employee. Guests will also have the chance to see Habitat’s newest construction plans and learn more about the organization’s history and impact across Wellington County.
A highlight of the day will be the 25 Bricks for 25 Years challenge, where new monthly donors place a symbolic brick on a special wall that will gradually form a complete Habitat home. All new monthly donors from March 18-31 will be included in this initiative to help build the image of a home in the Guelph ReStore. Throughout the day there will also be a live radio broadcast, additional chances to win gift cards and prizes, and special one-day incentives for those who become monthly donors. The celebration marks the kickoff of the ReStore’s biggest sale of the year, making it the perfect time to visit, shop, and connect.
