volunteer spotlight on Elaine

Aug 4, 2021 |

Our Guelph ReStore team would like to introduce you to one of our volunteers, Elaine!

Elaine – volunteer at Guelph ReStore

Elaine recently retired from nursing after 37 years. She started to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity to help a new Habitat family complete their required volunteer hours. This is one of the requirements of becoming a Habitat family.

Elaine shared with us: “I loved the experience of donating my time at the ReStore so much that I continued to volunteer even after the family’s hours were completed! The staff are so welcoming and I love contributing to a housing initiative. I have to say I love the deals and the interesting products we have the privilege to re-sell. I feel like I have made a new circle of friends and hope to volunteer long term at the ReStore!”

Thank you to Elaine for all that you do!
