Ways to Partner

Partner with Habitat for Humanity

At Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph, we believe that a house is much more than the bricks-and-mortar. When we build houses with our volunteers, skilled tradespeople, families, partners and supporters, we are building a vibrant future for our entire community.

The future we are building today extends beyond the four walls of a house. It comes from within the families and individuals who now have the foundation to dream and plan for their future.

“Home is also where your hopes and dreams are. Dreaming about when you grow up. Being a spaceman or a firefighter. Sinking beneath the sea as a scuba diver. I couldn’t imagine living without my dreams.” – Wynn, Grade 5

With you beside us, we will continue to build homes that act as a catalyst for empowerment and stability. We will build homes that foster our families of today and our leaders of tomorrow.

Partnership opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build Days: Habitat’s team building opportunities are an experience like no other. When your team arrives on the build site, their job titles will disappear.
Employees of all skill levels – beginner to professional – will learn useful skills as they work side-by-side in a safe environment under the leadership of experienced Habitat crew leaders.
  • Event Sponsorship: There are many opportunities to reach varying audiences in the community. We also offer exclusive and unique Presenting Sponsor opportunities for each of our signature events.
  • Corporate Partnership: Our corporate partners work hand-in-hand with us to build decent, affordable homes for families who need it. Through these homes, we build futures: futures that extend beyond the four walls of a house, and come from within the families and individuals who now have the foundation to dream and plan for a life of success and stability. In return, we provide our partners with a wealth of benefits, including premium event sponsorship, Team Build Days, public relations opportunities, a positive effect on company morale and more. More information here.
  • Meaning of Home contest: The Meaning of Home contest invites Grades 4, 5 and 6 students from across Canada to submit a written poem or essay explaining what home means to them for a chance to direct a grant to a local Habitat for Humanity build of their choice. The contest was established by founding sponsor Genworth Canada in 2007 to help raise funds and awareness for Habitat for Humanity in Canada, and to engage and educate the next generation in Habitat’s mission to help families access affordable homeownership. Talk to us about the many ways you can partner with us to help support the development of our latest large-scale build, Cityview Village, and our upcoming multi-unit development in Dufferin.
