Habitat Happenings Winter 2021 Edition

Dec 7, 2021 |

Building a better tomorrow for local families

As another year draws to a close, our team at Habitat GW gives thanks to you, our supportive community, for your generosity. We could not do what we do without you.

As you read this, our team is working on some truly impressive build plans for 2022 and beyond, with a bold vision. Once construction is underway we anticipate building approximately 75 homes in the Guelph Wellington community.

Your support will truly make a difference. It’s an investment in the future for families and our community, one with generational and lasting impact.

“Being part of the Habitat Family is so exciting for me. Now my future is something to look forward to, with a new house, new life, new beginning. We will create more happy memories together in a safe and secure place I can call HOME.” – 2021 Habitat Homeowner Carla

We are looking for land!

In order to meet the need in our community for affordable housing, we need to continuously be looking for the next big opportunity. To ensure this, Habitat GW is building a land and property inventory. Do you have property/land to offer and would like to discuss future build opportunities?

The Annual Meaning of Home creative writing contest is back!

The Meaning of Home contest is back for its 15th year on January 3rd! The contest invites students in grades 4, 5, and 6 to submit a poem or essay explaining what home means to them. The Meaning of Home contest is a great opportunity for students to learn about giving back to their community and the importance of having a safe home while improving their creative writing skills and raising money for Habitat for Humanity.
